Manny Pacquiao: The Unfair Win Over Ufeed

Manny Pacquiao has had a rough go of it in his first nine fights. He started off with a loss to Orlando Salido before he was able to bag himself the victory against Terry Etim. After losing two straight fights to Douglas Costa and Juan Carlos Payano, he met the tough journeyman Miguel Cotto, who he was unable to pull out the win after suffering a devastating knockout loss.

What Happened To The Fight?

The first round knockdown that forced the referee to stop the fight made it even more difficult for Pacquiao to get his win. Then came the rematch against Jorge Ufeed. The two fighters were both loaded with big money fights and were ready to go. Pacquiao was feeling the pressure and used some dirty tactics by hitting Ufeed with a couple hard punches and trying to cause damage.

After the fight, Pacquiao stated that he felt like the fight was stolen from him by Ufead. Feed was seen giving Pacquiao dirty looks throughout the entire fight and just basically trying to get him to stop swinging. Pacquiao refused to back down and continued to feel his opponent’s anger. He could not hold out any longer and Ufeed took him down in the second round and landed a series of powerful punches.

The Fight That Was Never Won

The fight was never really won, although there was a good amount of controversy surrounding the decision, and Pacquiao was put on the defensive more than ever before. On his way to the canvas, Ufead turned his back to Pacquiao to get a clean shot on him, which sent Pacquiao into the ropes and allowed Ufead to be pummeled by the massive Filipino. Manny Pacquiao was knocked out cold and could not move for some time.

Manny Pacquiao’s injuries were enough to scare many in the boxing world. While the fight was off, the WBO lightweight title was won by the winner of the fight between Amir Khan and Ricky Hatton, which seems to be a win-win situation.

After his brutal beating, many people are claiming that it was Pacquiao’s biggest mistake in the sport. Many said that he has no heart and that he is unfit to walk.

Controversial or Great Boxer?

Despite being labeled as a controversial boxer, there are many people who believe that Pacquiao is a great boxer. It is not that he wins with dirty tactics and is uninterested in the sport; it is more about the heart. That is the key ingredient of all successful boxers, regardless of their style of fighting.

In spite of the brutal beating, Pacquiao did not seem to be bothered by his injuries and just went out there and fought. Whether you agree with his decision or not, one thing is for sure; Manny Pacquiao is still a talented fighter and will continue to add new skills and techniques to his arsenal of skills. This fight is still fresh in many people’s minds and Pacquiao’s next match could very well be a triple knockout.
